Job Description

Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES) has an immediate opening for a full-time Air Quality/Environmental Engineer/Scientist/Specialist to serve up to 30 hours per week in an on-site capacity at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. The candidate will be a civilian contractor working at APG. They should have a strong working knowledge of air quality regulatory permitting and compliance requirements with an emphasis on Title V Operating permits . Pay is commensurate with education and experience. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing appropriate background checks to work at a Department of Defense/Department of War installation.
Responsibilities:
Comprehensive technical support to the APG Environmental Program Attendance at bi-weekly and quarterly Air Subcommittee Meetings conducted at APG Prepare bi-weekly agendas and progress reporting Perform routine inspections at identified locations at APG Maintain an organized and thorough administrative record Multitask and appropriately prioritize workload Communicate effectively and often with project stakeholders, including the Environmental Compliance Branch on the base Assist in performing technical and engineering studies, problem investigations and identifications of complex issues Work to include, but not be limited to, assisting APG Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) with compliance issues for multiple Title V source units/operations throughout the base and assisting with permitting of new operations that are identified
Preferred Qualifications:
