You are being redirected Once you are on the page, please click the refer button Job Overview Qualifications Benefits Job Overview The Emissions Certification Specialist manages the emissions certification process for North America-engineered products planned for European markets and plays a major role in supporting certification activities for additional planned export markets including China, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Chile, and GCC countries. This role serves as the company's subject matter expert for international emissions and environmental regulatory compliance (for North America engineered products), providing guidance throughout the product development cycle. The Specialist also acts as the primary interface between North American engineering teams and global Stellantis regions, ensuring alignment with all applicable international emissions requirements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the emissions certification strategy and Type Approval for select North America-engineered products entering European markets, covering pollutant emissions, OBD, evaporative emissions, CO₂/energy consumption, and related environmental regulatory domains. Support emissions certification planning and compliance activities for additional global markets such as China, Japan, South Korea, Brazil and the Gulf Countries Support Engineering teams to ensure propulsion systems, calibration strategies, aftertreatment technologies, and vehicle‑level designs meet applicable emissions regulations across all supported markets. Develop and manage detailed certification plans, including emissions and OBD testing schedules, documentation packages, Conformity of Production (CoP) requirements, and interactions with Type Approval Authorities and Technical Services. Interface with internal regulatory departments to follow latest global developments and also support them during new regulatory development. Monitor global emissions regulatory changes and provide proactive guidance to ensure future programs remain compliant with evolving requirements across Europe and other supported markets. Represent the homologation function in design reviews, calibration discussions, milestone meetings, and global program alignment forums, ensuring emissions compliance considerations are integrated throughout development. Team members are expected to establish effective working relationships, founded on trust and transparency, with internal and external partners. Sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive decisions through consensus and influence change are essential.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience Experience working on automotive propulsion systems such as engines, aftertreatment, OBD systems, fuel systems, hybrid/EV components, or calibration development Working knowledge of emissions and environmental regulations
