Job Description

Position title : Strategic Leaders International Course (SLIC)
Director Location :
Stennis Space Center, Mississippi Clearance required : SECRET Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Act as the lead for providing course content and ensuring continuity across all iterations of the Strategic Leadership International Course (SLIC). Oversee the planning and execution of at least three SLIC iterations per fiscal year, including two in English and one in Spanish. Lead pre-course coordination and preparation meetings to ensure all logistical, administrative, and curriculum requirements are met. Identify, vet, and coordinate with up to 20 content speakers, subject matter experts, and academics for each course to ensure instruction remains at the leading edge of strategic design. Plan and manage the one-week off-site training trip for each course, including all associated travel and logistical requirements. Ensure that Spanish course iterations are properly supported with qualified bilingual proctors and translators to convey technical and nuanced course material effectively. Develop, prepare, and provide all necessary course materials for students and instructors. Author and submit a comprehensive after-action report to the government following the completion of each course iteration. Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the annual course review to provide recommendations for curriculum updates and improvements. Must possess Special Operations experience at command level or higher. Proven experience in instruction, facilitation, or mentorship, preferably with senior military leaders (O5-O7) and/or senior government officials. Strong understanding of strategic-level planning and design methodologies relevant to complex global challenges. Excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead discussions, engage with international partners, and represent the command professionally at official functions. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a Course Director and multiple subject matter experts to deliver a cohesive and high-quality educational experience.
