Job Description

Cervello Global Research Corporation (CGRC) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owed Small Business and is seeking a Principal Investigator to lead a Department of the Air Force research and development effort focused on post-quantum cryptographic readiness and AI-driven cybersecurity for high-value Air Force networks. The PI serves as the scientific and technical leader of the effort — responsible for directing all R&D activities, serving as the primary technical interface with the government customer, and delivering a validated prototype demonstrating automated threat detection, risk scoring, and cryptographic compliance monitoring capabilities. This is a primary employment position. The PI must spend more than 50% of working time with CGRC for the duration of the effort. Successful performance creates a direct pathway to follow-on work as the program advances.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide scientific and technical direction for all R&D activities under the contract Develop a cryptographic asset inventory framework addressing key management practices, storage locations, and legacy system interoperability within Air Force network environments Design and implement AI/ML algorithms for automated threat detection, risk scoring, and post-quantum cryptographic compliance monitoring Architect and execute a simulation environment to validate prototype performance against defined success metrics including detection accuracy, response time, and compliance fidelity Author and deliver all required technical data products including progress reports and a final technical report Serve as the primary technical point of contact with the government customer throughout performance Report any inventions arising from the work in accordance with DoD program requirements
