As a Consultant, Geology based in Charlotte, NC, you'll play a critical role in investigating and remediating contaminated sites, ensuring compliance, and supporting sustainable solutions for clients across diverse industries. What You'll Bring Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, environmental science, or related discipline (Master's a plus).
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to perform field work (standing/walking full days).
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to Health & Safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Driver's License Required:
This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Preferred:
  • 40-hour
OSHA HAZWOPER
certification.
  • GIT or EIT certification.
  • Experience with technical data recording and report writing.
  • Local candidates preferred; regional candidates considered. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field investigations: soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, and indoor air sampling.
  • Oversee drilling, soil logging, and installation of monitoring wells.
  • Perform aquifer testing, well development, and remedial system operations.
  • Assist with groundwater and wastewater system performance monitoring.
  • Support Phase I and II environmental assessments for property transactions.
  • Compile and analyze data; assist in preparing technical reports.
  • Prepare compliance work plans, permits, and reports for air quality, hazardous waste, stormwater, and wastewater.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors, regulators, tenants, and clients during field activities.
