Caterpillar is looking to add an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to our Building Construction Products (BPC) team. As the EHS Manager for our Clayton, NC facility, you will have an exciting opportunity to make a difference for Caterpillar people

What you will do:
Identifies common and more complex safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards. Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives. Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions. Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement. Responsible for security across campus.What you will have:
Experience:
4-year degree and previous experience in EHS policy compliance and leadership Problem Solving•Level Expert:
Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. Trains others in the process of eliciting alternatives and assessing their impact.Interpersonal Relationships and Collaborating:
Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.Decision Making, Critical Thinking and Risk Management:
Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.Sustainability:
Knowledge of sustainability strategy; ability to integrate sustainability into the overall business strategy of the organization to build a sustainable business model. Supports research and general administrative requirements for our sustainability efforts. Contributes to timely and accurate data collection and analysis at the corporate and site level. Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance•Level Extensive Experience:
Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards. Remaining in compliance with federal, state, and local compliance requirements. Working knowledge in compliance requirements. Overcoming Resistance to Change•Level Expert:
Understanding and insight into the futility of refusing to accept the inevitable and ability to overcome resistance and adapt to a complex and changing environment.Top Candidates Will Also Have:

LI Summary Pay Range:
$112,710.00- $169,060.
