Description and Requirements We are seeking an experienced Advisory Engineer, Wireless and Regulatory Compliance to join Lenovo's Corporate Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), Regulatory Compliance and Standards team. This position serves as a worldwide subject matter expert for wireless regulatory compliance, supporting Lenovo's global product portfolio. The successful candidate will work with engineering, product development, business units, certification laboratories, and regional regulatory teams to ensure products meet global wireless, EMC, and regulatory requirements while enabling successful product launches.Key Responsibilities:
Wireless Regulatory Compliance Lead worldwide wireless regulatory reviews and wireless activities for Lenovo notebooks, desktops, wireless options, IoT products, servers, robotics, and other connected devices Wireless technologies include WLAN (Wi-Fi 6, 6E and Wi-Fi 7), WWAN (LTE and 5G), Bluetooth, NFC, GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) and WPT (Wireless Power Transfer) Provide country specific technical guidance and collaborate with other corporate wireless/regulatory engineers who are supporting all above-mentioned Lenovo products Review certification reports, regulatory documentation, and compliance deliverables to ensure products meet country-specific wireless and EMC requirements Provide technical guidance to global product development teams throughout the certification process Support worldwide regulatory approvals using Lenovo certification tools and processes Regulatory Strategy & Standards Monitor global regulatory developments related to wireless, EMC, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into engineering guidance and product compliance deliverables Support the development and maintenance of Lenovo regulatory standards, certification processes, and compliance documentation Participate in industry organizations and regulatory working groups to track evolving requirements and communicate impacts to internal stakeholders Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with engineering, business units, documentation teams, regulatory agencies, certification laboratories, and external partners to ensure timely product approvals Support preparation and review of regulatory documentation including labels, user guides, Regulatory Notices, Declarations of Conformity, and certification records Provide technical support for internal and customer regulatory compliance inquiriesQualifications:
Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field 6+ years of experience in wireless regulatory compliance, homologation, product development, EMC, or product certification Strong knowledge of worldwide (NA, LATAM, EU, META and AP) wireless certification requirements, includingFCC, ISED
Canada, CE/RED, UKCA, SAR/RF exposure, and EMC Ability to interpret technical regulations and translate them into product compliance requirements Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and project management skillsPreferred Knowledge/Skills:
Experience supporting worldwide certification programs for notebooks, desktops, tablets, servers, IoT, or wireless accessories Experience with regulatory compliance management systems or certification workflow tools Participation in industry standards organizations or regulatory working groups Experience supporting multiple concurrent global product launches Experience reviewing wireless certification reports and regulatory documentation Experience working with global engineering teams across multiple time zonesBasic Requirements:
