Job Description

Director of Environment Affairs Confidential Lyon Station, Pennsylvania The Director of Environment Affairs is responsible for leading the environmental department and acting as the subject matter expert for all applicable environmental requirements of the site, including Develop and implement environmental programs, policies and procedures, to include best practices, to meet regulatory compliance and promote sound environmental The Environmental Director oversees the development and implementation of environmental policies/practices, regulatory compliance, and leads environmental projects to ensure operational sustainably. Responsibilities performance for all media. Lead permitting activities (Title V, NPDES, RCRA, etc.) using approved consultants as necessary Manage and/or assign regulatory reports and submittals Manage audits, root cause analysis, corrective actions and follow-up Drive sustainability initiatives to include waste reduction, emission control and resource conservation. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental laws, regulations and permit conditions. Oversee and routinely report on the organization's environmental performance. Manage and lead environmental projects from planning through execution. Manage budgets and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. Collect and analyze field data (multi-media), such as soil, water, waste and air samples. Qualifications and skills
Education:
A bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field is typically required. Master degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years' experience in manufacturing setting in a leadership role CHMM, QEP, PE or similar certification a plus Several years of experience in environmental management, project management, and compliance. Proficient in environmental permitting at a Federal, State and Local level A demonstrated commitment to operational excellence and environmental stewardship.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities. Analytical and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and report writing skills. Project management skills, including budget and schedule management. Technical knowledge of environmental standards, regulations, and best practices. Reports to VP EHS and Regulatory Affairs Occasional Travel to assess operational performance
