This role ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations while supporting project teams through the permitting process. The ideal candidate serves as a technical resource, maintains strong relationships with regulatory agencies, and helps facilitate timely project execution. Essential Responsibilities Prepare, submit, and track permit applications and supporting documentation. Coordinate with regulatory agencies, clients, consultants, and internal project teams. Monitor permit status and ensure compliance with applicable environmental and regulatory requirements. Research and interpret permitting regulations, policies, and guidelines. Maintain organized records of permits, approvals, correspondence, and project documentation. Assist with developing permitting strategies to support project schedules and objectives. Identify potential permitting risks and recommend practical solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff, as appropriate. Participate in project meetings and communicate permitting updates to stakeholders. Support continuous improvement of permitting processes and documentation standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, Natural Resources, Planning, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Several years of progressively responsible experience in permitting, environmental compliance, or a related field. Working knowledge of federal, state, and local permitting regulations. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard business software. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with well permitting, water resources, environmental consulting, or related industries. Familiarity with regulatory agency processes and permitting systems. Project coordination or project management experience. Professional certifications or licensure relevant to the field are a plus. Entech Engineering, Inc.
