Job Description

Job Title:
Industrial Process & Quality Engineer Role Overview We are seeking an Industrial Process & Quality Engineer to serve as a key technical resource within our production environment. You will be responsible for ensuring our processes remain compliant, efficient, and reliable. This role is a "problem-solver-in-chief" for our production floor, where you will lead investigations into process deviations, design technical protocols, and execute initiatives that improve our "Right-First-Time" performance. This position is ideal for an engineer or scientist who enjoys a high-paced, high-stakes environment. You will be the primary technical partner to our Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams, ensuring that our equipment, automation, and processes are optimized for safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities Investigation & Compliance Management Deviation Analysis:
Lead investigations into operational deviations. Assess product impact, determine the "root cause," and define the Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs) needed to prevent recurrence.
Documentation Authority:
Author, update, and manage critical technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch records, change control documents, and validation protocols.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all technical activities adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Act as a primary liaison between the production floor and Quality/Regulatory departments.
Operational Improvement & Support Technical Troubleshooting:
Provide "on-the-floor" support for complex operational or process-related technical issues. Diagnose problems from a holistic perspective (considering safety, automation, and human factors).
Continuous Improvement:
Manage projects aimed at increasing process efficiency, reducing costs, and improving consistency. Conduct experimental protocols and pilot studies to validate process improvements.
Project Governance:
Manage project timelines to ensure critical compliance milestones and customer delivery dates are met. Proactively escalate risks and develop remediation plans.
Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical discipline.
Experience Baseline:
Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of professional experience in a manufacturing or technical production environment (relevant co-op/internship experience is considered).
Core Skills:
Strong technical writing skills, highly developed communication abilities, and proven success in managing projects against hard deadlines.
Preferred Attributes Quality Systems:
Proven experience with Deviation Management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Change Control.
Systems Proficiency:
Experience with enterprise resource planning (e.g., SAP) or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
Sector Background:
Experience in highly regulated manufacturing (e.g., medical devices, specialized chemical, or high-complexity consumer goods).
