Environmental Permitting Manager Job Description The Environmental Permitting Manager is responsible for managing environmental due diligence, acquiring environmental permits, and supporting compliance activities during site acquisition, design, and construction of data centers. Responsibilities Manage environmental due diligence and environmental permitting acquisition and approvals. Support compliance activities during site acquisition, design, and construction. Develop and deliver environmental permits to support the construction of data centers on time. Collaborate regularly with key stakeholders, including legal, design, construction, and operations teams. Essential Skills Experience in environmental permitting and compliance. Project management experience. Advanced knowledge of environmental permitting programs, remedial investigations, remediation strategies and execution, site conceptual models, and site management plans. Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent. 10+ years of experience in environmental permitting and approvals, including managing environmental impact assessments and acquiring permits. 5+ years conducting environmental due diligence and risk assessments for greenfield and brownfield sites. Experience with mission critical facilities or large-scale construction projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and high standards for quality of deliverables. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional and positive working relationships with internal and external teams. Specific knowledge of environmental permitting programs and requirements, including air quality, threatened and endangered species, USACE/404 permitting, and cultural resources. Working knowledge of remedial investigations, remediation strategies and execution, site conceptual models, and site management plans. Ability to develop permitting timelines and identify risks and mitigation strategies. Work Environment This role requires a standard Monday to Friday schedule, working 40 hours a week, in Indianapolis. The Environmental Permitting Manager will be responsible for driving cross-team delivery in the review, environmental due diligence, environmental permit acquisition, and environmental permit compliance for data centers. This position involves collaboration with internal and external teams to ensure the successful construction and delivery of critical infrastructure. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of La Porte, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $95.00/hr.
