In this role, you will be responsible for managing the permitting process for solar energy projects, ensuring all activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Your expertise will help streamline project approvals, facilitate communication with regulatory agencies, and uphold the highest standards of environmental and construction compliance. Responsibilities Prepare and submit permit applications for solar installation projects in accordance with local building codes and ordinances. Interpret technical drawings, site plans, and engineering documents to ensure compliance with environmental law and construction standards. Review project plans to verify adherence to OSHA safety standards, FDA regulations (if applicable), and other regulatory requirements. Coordinate with local authorities, regulatory agencies, and inspectors to facilitate permit approval processes. Conduct thorough analysis of building code compliance and environmental regulations relevant to each project. Prepare detailed reports documenting permit statuses, compliance assessments, and regulatory reporting requirements. Maintain accurate records of permits, inspections, correspondence, and compliance documentation for audit purposes. Qualifications Proven experience in construction or environmental compliance management within the renewable energy sector or related fields. Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards, local building codes, and environmental law applicable to solar projects. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, site plans, and engineering documents. Experience with regulatory reporting processes and preparing comprehensive reports on permit status and compliance issues. Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to navigate complex permitting procedures while maintaining a positive, solution-oriented approach.
