Your impact We are seeking a Sewer Collection System and Stormwater Modeler & Planner to lead and support planning, modeling, and analysis efforts for municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. This role is ideal for a mid-level professional with 10+ years of experience who combines strong technical modeling skills with project leadership and mentorship capabilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality system evaluations, capital improvement planning, and regulatory compliance support, while also contributing to the development of junior staff and modeling best practices. Key Responsibilities Modeling & Technical Leadership Lead and perform hydraulic and hydrologic modeling for: Wastewater collection systems (sanitary sewer, combined systems) Stormwater systems and drainage networks Develop, calibrate, and maintain models using industry-standard tools (e.g., InfoWorks ICM, SWMM, Sewer
GEMS, PCSWMM
) Conduct system capacity analyses, infiltration/inflow (I/I) evaluations, and wet weather flow assessments Support water distribution system modeling where applicable (e.g., using InfoWater Pro, Water
GEMS, EPANET
) Interpret model results and translate into actionable recommendations for clients Planning, Analysis, and Design Support and lead master planning efforts for wastewater and stormwater utilities Develop capital improvement plans (CIPs) and prioritize infrastructure investments Perform alternatives analysis and cost-benefit evaluations Perform detailed modeling for design Support regulatory compliance initiatives Integrate modeling results with asset management and GIS data Project Management & Delivery Manage or support multiple projects, including scope, schedule, and budget tracking Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, GIS, planning, operations) Prepare technical reports, memoranda, and presentation materials Present findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders Mentorship & Team Development Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and modelers Review modeling work, analyses, and deliverables for quality assurance Support training initiatives and development of internal modeling standards Foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing team environment Here's what you'll need Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field 10+ years of relevant experience in wastewater and/or stormwater modeling and planning Professional Engineer (PE) license Demonstrated experience with modeling software such as: InfoWorks ICM, SWMM, Sewer
GEMS, PCSWMM
(preferred) Strong understanding of Sewer collection systems and stormwater hydraulics and wet weather processes and system performance evaluation Experience leading technical tasks or workstreams on projects Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ideally, you'll also have Experience with water distribution system modeling (WaterGEMS, EPANET, InfoWater) Experience with: CSO/SSO programs and regulatory compliance GIS platforms (Arc

And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $105,000.00 to $160,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
