Job Description
Apply Chief Engineer - Dredger Location UK Job Type Permanent We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a leading UK dredging company operating in UK and Continental waters. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation and maintenance of all engineering systems onboard the vessel. Responsibilities Overall responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all machinery, propulsion, electrical, hydraulic, and auxiliary systems onboard Ensure compliance with UK MCA, Class, Flag State, ISM, and company procedures Lead, manage, and mentor engineering personnel onboard Plan and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance in line with planned maintenance systems Maintain accurate records of maintenance, defects, spares, and certification Ensure safe working practices and adherence to company HSEQ policies Manage bunkering operations and fuel efficiency Liaise with shore management, superintendents, and contractors as required Ensure vessel readiness for inspections, audits, and surveys Respond effectively to emergencies, machinery failures, and breakdowns Requirements Chief Engineer Unlimited UK CoC / CeC High Voltage (Management Level - HV(M)) STCW 95 Certification , including: Personal Survival Techniques (PST) Fire Fighting (FF) Medical First Aid Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (PSCRB) Advanced Fire Fighting Medical First Aid Certificate Valid, unrestricted ENG1 Medical Security Awareness & Designated Security Duties Certificates Apply If this position interests you, and you would like to learn more or explore other available jobs that could also match your skill set, please apply today or email chrism@navis-consulting.com
