As a Restoration Crew Chief, you'll take the lead on jobs in the field, working alongside a team to complete water, fire, and other restoration projects from start to finish. You'll guide technicians, keep jobs on track, and ensure work is done safely and correctly. This role is both hands-on and administrative. You'll be actively involved in the physical work while also managing job details, including customer communication, documentation, and overall job coordination. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys being in the field but also wants more ownership and responsibility over the full job. What Success Looks Like You take the lead on jobs in the field and help keep them running smoothly You support and guide your team throughout the day You communicate clearly with both your team and customers You stay organized with job details, equipment, and documentation You balance hands-on work with job management responsibilities (communication, documentation, coordination) You consistently deliver quality work and a strong customer experience Key Responsibilities Lead Jobs in the Field Take the lead on assigned restoration jobs (water, fire, etc.) Work alongside technicians to complete mitigation and cleanup work Provide direction and support to ensure jobs stay on track Job Management & Communication Serve as the main point of contact for customers throughout the job Communicate updates clearly with customers, team members, and partners Help ensure a positive and professional customer experience Documentation & Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate job documentation (moisture readings, equipment logs, job notes, etc.) Complete required paperwork and updates in company systems Ensure job files are complete and properly support the work performed Restoration Work & Execution Perform hands-on work including water extraction, drying, fire cleanup, and remediation Assess damage and help determine the best approach for each job Adjust plans as needed based on job conditions Safety & On-Call Support Follow all safety protocols and guidelines Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency jobs Help maintain a safe, positive work environment What We're Looking For 1-3 years of experience in restoration, mitigation, or a related field Experience leading or guiding others on job sites is a plus Strong communication and problem-solving skills Comfortable working in fast-paced, hands-on environments Comfortable balancing physical work with administrative responsibilities such as documentation and communication Willingness to learn tools and techniques (moisture detection, estimating, etc.) Comfortable using technology in the field, including iPads and systems such as DocuSketch for documentation and job tracking Valid driver's license with a clean driving record You'll do well in this role if you are: Reliable and take ownership of your work Comfortable stepping into a leadership role while staying hands-on Someone who enjoys helping people in difficult situations Work Environment Field-based role with local travel Work in a variety of environments (homes, job sites, crawl spaces, etc.) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (100 lbs with assistance) Exposure to noise, debris, and cleaning products May be required to work on biohazard or trauma-related cleanup projects, which can involve sensitive situations; appropriate training and safety protocols are provided Schedule Full-time, Monday-Friday Overtime, weekends, and on-call rotation as needed Benefits & Growth Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Ongoing training and certifications Opportunities for growth within the company
