In this dynamic role, you will be at the forefront of high-angle rescue operations, confined space rescues, and disaster response efforts. Your expertise will ensure the safety of individuals in hazardous environments while demonstrating leadership in emergency management. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical rescue skills, EMT or Basic First Aid experience, and outdoor work background to save lives and protect property in challenging situations. You will be responsible for executing complex rescue operations with precision, adhering to NFPA standards, and utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) effectively. Responsibilities Perform confined space rescue operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and NFPA standards. Lead high-angle rescue missions utilizing rope access techniques, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), and other specialized equipment. Conduct emergency response activities including first aid, CPR, and advanced rescue procedures in various outdoor and hazardous environments. Manage incident scenes by coordinating rescue efforts, assessing risks, and implementing effective rescue strategies. Operate rescue equipment such as harnesses, pulleys, and PPE to facilitate safe extrications from confined or elevated spaces. Provide leadership during emergency situations by directing team members and maintaining clear communication with first responders. Maintain all rescue gear, PPE, and emergency response tools in excellent condition through regular inspections and proper storage. Document incident reports, safety procedures, and training activities accurately for compliance and continuous improvement.

Experience Proven experience in confined space rescue operations and high-angle rope rescues within industrial or outdoor environments. Strong background as a first responder with EMT experience preferred; certification in CPR and first aid is required. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams during emergency responses effectively. Knowledge of NFPA standards related to confined space entry, rescue operations, respiratory protection, and PPE use. Hands-on experience with emergency management systems, incident command procedures, and disaster response protocols. Outdoor work experience that includes working at heights or in challenging environmental conditions is highly desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
