Salary Information:
14-Step Pay Plan • Firefighter/Paramedic starting pay - $65,209 Experience pay available up to $72,542 for relevant firefighter or Pinellas County Paramedic certification
Additional Incentives Provided:
Apparatus Operator $100/Month Fire Officer 1 Certification $50/Month Fire Safety Inspector 1 Certification $25/

Required Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations:
Florida Certification as a Firefighter II by
F.S.S 633
(certificate of compliance) Florida certification as a Paramedic Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and CPR instruction certification. Valid Florida Driver's License Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (paramedic) Documentation of successful CPAT Non-tobacco user for 1 year prior to employment and throughout employment Preference will be given to dually certified Firefighter/Paramedic, although, consideration will be given to applicants with the following circumstances: Florida State Certified Firefighter/EMT currently in Paramedic school Florida State Certified Paramedic currently in the Fire Academy Florida State Certified Paramedic seeking Fire Academy sponsorship
