Job Description
The Colby Fire Department is currently seeking applications for the position of Firefighter I. Under supervision of the Fire Chief or other assigned supervisor, this position responds to fire alarms and other emergency calls to protect life and property; drives and operates pumping engines, aerial ladder trucks, other fire protection equipment, and all emergency equipment; assists in maintaining fire apparatus and equipment; responds to major emergency calls while off-duty; attends scheduled drills and classes relating to firefighting techniques. This position does entail shift work, 24 hrs. on and 48 hrs. off. Applicants must have a valid Class B drivers license.
