Job Description

The City of Morganfield is currently accepting applications for a full time Firefighter position. Applications may be picked up during regular business hours from 8:00am - 4:00pm at the Morganfield Fire Department located at 120 E Main St. Applications will be accepted until the close of business on April 17, 2026. Minimum Requirements:
Must be a United States Citizen Minimum age of 18 years old Have a current up to date CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test) Card Pass a Fire Department physical Pass a criminal background check Have a current Kentucky driver's license High School Diploma or state approved equivalent If not Kentucky Basic 2 certified, chosen applicant will be sent to Kentucky Fire Academy for 13 weeks for certification
Basic Benefits:
Annual $4,000 state incentive pay (once 400 hours training is complete Family medical, dental, and vision insurance County Employee Retirement System (CERS) retirement contribution with Kentucky Retirement System Vacation, Personal and Sick days
Pay:
$17.50 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 48.0 per week
