Job Description

The Town of Cumberland Fire Department is accepting applications for a full-time Firefighter/EMS Provider We are looking for a positive and motivated individual to join our family. The candidate should EMT-Paramedic and be Firefighter I & II Certified. This position is responsible for the efficient performance of required duties in conformance with the rules, regulations and policies established by the State, Town and the Fire Department. Duties shall consist of fire and EMS responsibilities necessary to ensure the stability and safety of the Town of Cumberland and our neighboring communities. Salaries are shown in the Teamsters, Local 340 contract.
Requirements:
High School Diploma (or equivalent); Associate degree preferred Must be 20 years of age Must hold and maintain at least a valid Maine EMT-Paramedic License NFPA Firefighter I & II Certification Must hold and maintain a valid State of Maine Class C Driver's License Must be able to work rotating 24 hour shifts
FEMA ICS 100, ICS 200, IS 700, IS
701, and IS 800 (within three months of hire) Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check Post job offer, the candidate must complete a medical exam Post job offer, the candidate must complete a Physical Ability Test Post job offer, the candidate must complete a Job Placement Assessment How to
