Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic emergency response team as a Firefighter/Medic, where you will play a vital role in protecting lives, property, and the community. This energetic position combines firefighting duties with emergency medical services, requiring a proactive and compassionate approach. You will respond swiftly to fires, accidents, and medical emergencies, providing critical care and support to those in need. Your dedication will help ensure safety and peace of mind for everyone you serve. Responsibilities Respond promptly to fire alarms, medical emergencies, and rescue calls with professionalism and urgency. Operate firefighting equipment, including hoses, ladders, and rescue tools, to contain fires and extricate victims safely. Provide first aid, advanced life support (ALS), and CPR to stabilize patients until turn over of care is established Conduct thorough assessments of patients' vital signs and monitor their condition throughout emergency interventions. Drive emergency vehicles safely under various conditions while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols. Perform routine maintenance checks on firefighting gear, medical supplies, and emergency vehicles to ensure readiness at all times. Collaborate effectively with team members and coordinate with other first responders during complex incidents. Qualifications Prior EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) experience or certification is highly preferred. Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record for operating emergency vehicles. Knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to perform basic vehicle repairs or troubleshooting. Ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks in challenging environments. Strong understanding of vital signs assessment, first aid procedures, BLS, and CPR techniques. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working with firefighting or rescue equipment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress situations. Join us in making a difference every day! Pay:
$50,565.08 - $60,895.58 per year
