Starting Salary (Firefighter II): $48,898.76 annually Paid on a biweekly basis Overtime opportunities available

Primary Responsibilities:

Firefighters with Hampton County Fire Rescue are expected to perform a wide range of emergency and non-emergency duties, including but not limited to: Responding to fire suppression, rescue, EMS assist, and other emergency incidents Operating fire apparatus and equipment in a safe and effective manner Participating in daily training, drills, and continuing education Conducting station and apparatus maintenance Supporting community risk reduction (CRR) and public education initiatives Maintaining physical fitness and readiness for duty Operating within established department SOPs, SOGs, and safety guidelines Assisting with mutual aid and automatic aid responses as required Applicants must meet the following requirements at the time of application: High School Diploma or GED Valid South Carolina Driver's License (Class E minimum; CDL preferred) IFSAC or Pro-Board Firefighter II Certification Emergency Vehicle Driver Training (EVDT) Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Certification Current CPR Certification Ability to pass: Background investigation Drug screening Physical agility assessment

Strong work ethics and professional conduct Ability to work effectively in a team environment Commitment to public service and community engagement The following certifications and experience are highly desirable: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) Hazardous Materials Operations Certification Pump Operator I and Pump Operator II Previous fire service experience (career or volunteer)
