A Firefighter responds to fire alarms and other emergency calls. Puts out fires and rescues people from buildings. Responds to medical emergencies and assists with search and rescue efforts and industrial or hazardous waste accidents. Provides fire prevention programs or inspections in the community. May be specially trained to fight forest fires.
Job Summary Firefighter Position The City of Airway Heights Fire Department is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the position of Firefighter. The Department serves a total population of approximately 12,100 year-round residents and operates from one station staffed by 4 career chief officers, 7 career firefighters, and 20 volunteers. Interviews will be on Thursday October 22, 2026, extending to October 23, 2026 if needed. Chief's interviews will be scheduled on October 26, 2026. The City pays up to $1,591.00 for employee and dependent medical coverage.
DENTAL:
The City pays for employee only.

RETIREMENT
