Develops inspection and surveillance plans. Provides feedback and recommends solutions to ensure process compliance. Performs preliminary review and disposition of complex non-conformities. Coordinates and conducts product review with customer during product or process verification. Identifies repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiates requests for corrective action. Provides expertise and leadership to customers and team members in all areas of product verification and acceptance. We are looking for candidates who can perform inspections as an applicant issuing FAA Form 8130-9, Statement of Conformity. This position will primarily be rotating in and out of Birmingham, UK. Rotating onsite for 28 days. Some work may be done in Tukwila, WA as the program expands and can be done during the cooling off period from being in the UK as work is available.
Position Responsibilities:
  • This inspector implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations
  • Performs conformity inspections as an applicant issuing FAA Form 8130-9 (Statement of Conformity)
  • Must be knowledgeable of FAA regulations and guidance to ensure compliance
  • Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services or operation for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions
  • Ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner
  • Specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished
  • Communicates deficiencies to proper persons
  • Maintains Quality Control files
  • Document results of all inspections Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Minimum of 3 years of Quality Aerospace Inspection experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience performing product or process inspections.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Minimum of 1 + year of experience working with and/or assisting with the conformity inspection process (FAA forms 8120-10, 8130-9, etc.). Once they start they must have the ability to be authorized to sign the statement of conformity by a Boeing authorizer Pay Rate Range 50
  • 55 USD hourly
