A Judge oversees the legal process in court cases. Interprets law, advises jurors during trials, writes opinions and decisions, and gives verdicts in cases decided without a jury. May decide on a sentence for the defendant in a criminal case, or liability of a defendant in a civil case; may facilitate negotiations between parties in a dispute. Works in a county, state or federal court system.

Job Description
Beacon Hill was founded to set a new standard in search, career placement and flexible staffing. Beacon Hill's client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking Litigation Docketing Specialists with a strong understanding of the California Rules of Court to support an influx of work within its Intellectual Property group.
Location:
These roles may be performed onsite or remotely (U.S.-based)- Firm office locations: Los Angeles, CA 90071 (preferred) and San Diego, CA 92101
- Remote (U.S.-based) candidates will also be considered but must have knowledge of the California Rules of Court

- Round 1: Hiring Manager Interview (for candidates selected for next steps)
- Round 2: Team Interview (for candidates selected to advance from Round 1)
Pay:
$35-$41/hour, depending on experienceWhat They're Looking For:
- 2+ years of litigation docketing experience in a law firm setting required
- Strong knowledge of the California Rules of Court
- Experience computing both federal and state court deadlines
- High-volume docketing background
- Experience with CompuLaw Vision preferred; other rules-based calendaring systems will be considered
- Excellent communication, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure
- Team-oriented and adaptable, with the ability to shift between tasks as needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work overtime if needed
