  • G Job Duties The Motor Vehicle Dealer Board is seeking to hire a Recovery Fund Analyst.
The individual will be responsible for administering all functions related to claims filed with the Motor Vehicle Dealer Board against the Motor Vehicle Transaction Recovery Fund. This position conducts comprehensive research and analysis of claim documentation obtained from multiple sources and develops well-supported recommendations for the payment, reduction, or denial of claims. The Recovery Fund Analyst serves as an important resource for consumers, dealers, attorneys, and other stakeholders by providing accurate information regarding sales-transaction concerns and the statutory and regulatory requirements governing the Recovery Fund. The position also provides management with support on complex research matters and assists agency staff with data entry, financial reconciliation, and other administrative functions. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of administrative law, regulations, and the procedures associated with professional licensing; and adjudication of licensing and disciplinary cases. Ability to interpret and implement law and regulation. Ability to assess court documents and apply statutory limits. Ability to work independently. Knowledge of the Virginia Administrative Process Act, business English, mathematics, and standard office operations and practices. Proficiency in keyboarding and personal computer use, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and established filing systems and principles. Demonstrated ability to compose clear and professional business correspondence; to research, evaluate, and analyze information; and to reach logical, well‑supported, and legally sound conclusions. Ability to interpret, explain, and apply relevant standards, procedures, statutes, and regulations to a variety of situations. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and respectfully, reflecting an understanding of and concern for citizens, dealers, and the statutory responsibilities upheld by the Board. Additional Considerations Maintain accurate records and perform data entry and other administrative tasks necessary to support effective Fund operations. Assist management with complex research assignments, special projects, and analysis involving motor vehicle transactions, claims, and regulatory requirements. Maintain current knowledge of applicable provisions of the Virginia Code and regulations governing the Motor Vehicle Transaction Recovery Fund and motor vehicle dealer activities.
