The ideal candidate will live in Gainesville Florida Area and represent clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, adoption, paternity, domestic violence, and post-judgment modifications. This role requires strong advocacy skills, excellent legal research and writing abilities, and a client-focused approach. Responsibilities Manage a caseload of family law matters from inception through resolution. Conduct client consultations and provide legal advice regarding family law issues. Draft and review pleadings, motions, agreements, discovery requests, and other legal documents. Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials. Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex family law issues. Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes efficiently and effectively. Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies. Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case developments and expectations. Ensure compliance with court rules, filing deadlines, and ethical obligations. Participate in business development and networking activities to support firm growth. Legal drafting and document preparation Negotiation and conflict resolution Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Licensed in Florida. Experience in handling family law matters Ability to manage a caseload with multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate legal and practical risks efficiently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish fluency is a plus). Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management and task prioritization skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Reliable, dependable, and capable of exercising sound independent judgment while also working collaboratively in a team environment
