Associate Attorney - Family Law Men's Divorce Law Firm Orlando, FL Job Details Full-time From $70,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Retirement plan Qualifications Law Doctor of Law (JD) Attention to detail Family law Bar Full Job Description Established Family Law Firm seeks Associate Attorney in the Greater Orlando area. As an Associate Attorney, you will work underneath a Managing Attorney on each case you are assigned. Your tasks include drafting legal documents, assisting with the discovery process, and performing legal research for each case. While we are proficient at negotiating settlements for our clients without going to trial, we are looking for a candidate who can aggressively represent our clients' interests. Our ideal candidate will have at least two years of litigation experience in the arena of family law. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Associate Attorney Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with drafting legal documents, including motions and pleadings related to dissolution of marriage and paternity Assist with the discovery process by administering depositions issuing interrogatories, and reviewing documents Negotiate settlements Perform legal research Make court appearances as necessary Maintain professional appearance and rapport with clients, other attorneys, and the Court Conduct initial consultations with potential clients
Associate Attorney Requirements and Qualifications:
Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida Family law experience (1 year minimum required) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to meet strict deadlines and anticipate the needs of the Managing Attorney and firm Analytical skills Attention to detail
