Stuart, Florida McBride Legal Group, P.A. is a growing, litigation-focused family law firm dedicated exclusively to helping individuals and families navigate some of the most important legal matters of their lives. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our team. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for an attorney seeking meaningful courtroom experience, hands-on litigation training, and professional growth. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced legal professionals handling divorce, paternity, timesharing, child support, modifications, enforcement actions, injunctions, and other family law matters throughout Florida's Treasure Coast. Responsibilities Manage family law cases under attorney supervision from inception through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests, subpoenas, proposed orders, and settlement agreements. Conduct legal research utilizing LexisNexis and other legal research platforms. Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials. Assist with case strategy development and litigation planning. Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, judicial assistants, and court personnel. Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation preparation. Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all court deadlines and procedural requirements. Provide exceptional client service while maintaining professionalism, empathy, and accountability. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar. 0-5 years of legal experience preferred. Family law experience is welcomed but not required. Prior litigation, prosecution, public defender, insurance defense, or civil litigation experience is a plus. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Strong oral advocacy and communication abilities. Working knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure, and Florida Evidence Code. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to accept feedback, coaching, and constructive criticism.
