Job Description
Family Law Associate Attorney Joseph Greenwald and Laake PA., an AV-rated, law firm with offices in Greenbelt and Rockville, MD, seeks a highly motivated family law litigation attorney. One plus years of experience in Family Law is required for this high-volume, complex, litigation-based practice. This position presents a unique opportunity to join a dynamic practice, and to quickly assume substantial responsibility, including court appearances, with one of the area's premier law firms. We anticipate on-boarding immediately. MD Bar is required, DC and VA Bars a plus. The position will be housed in our Rockville office. Job offers competitive salary and benefits package to include but not limited to New Child Leave, fitness reimbursement, etc. EOE. Full-time Responsibilities and Duties :
- Represent clients in all areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and property division.
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, and discovery demands.
- Conduct discovery and depositions.
- Organize and maintain case files and documents.
- Communicate with potential new clients, clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.
- Schedule appointments and manage own calendar.
- Represent clients at court hearings and argue cases.
- Represent clients at mediations.
- Negotiate and settle cases.
Qualifications and Expectations :
- Doctor of Jurisprudence.
- Ability to bill 1800 hours annually.
- Prior Family Law attorney experience (required).
- Strong knowledge of family law procedures and regulations.
- Proficiency in legal research and document preparation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Full-time Pay:
$115,000.00- $130,000.
