at Foley & Lardner LLP in Detroit, Michigan, United States Job Description Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking an associate with 4+ years of experience to join the Consumer Law, Finance & Class Actions Practice Group in our Madison office. Qualified candidates must be strong and persuasive legal writers and oral advocates with experience handling complex litigation matters in state and federal courts. Experience representing clients in consumer class actions, consumer protection and unfair trade practices litigation, financial services disputes, regulatory matters, and other complex commercial litigation is preferred. Candidates should have experience researching and drafting dispositive motions, appellate briefs, class certification briefing, and other substantive filings; analyzing complex statutory and regulatory issues; developing litigation strategy; working with experts; and preparing matters for hearings, arbitration, trial, and appeal. Experience with Government Enforcement Defense & Investigations and Commercial Litigation work is strongly preferred. Federal judicial clerkship experience is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, an exceptional work ethic, and be comfortable working directly with partners and clients. We are seeking a well-rounded, dynamic, highly motivated lawyer who has demonstrated an ability to thrive in a sophisticated practice in a busy, collaborative environment. Top academics required. Applicants must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school and must be in good standing and an active member of the Wisconsin Bar. The expected salary range for this position is $290,000-$370,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
