Job Description

Position Summary Abood Law Firm is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Law Clerk to support our attorneys in delivering exceptional legal services to our clients. The Law Clerk will perform legal research, draft legal documents, organize case files, and assist with litigation preparation while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and client service. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a law student or recent law school graduate to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced legal environment. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing legal databases to support case preparation and strategy. Assist with drafting legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, motions, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Manage case files using document management systems ensuring all records are accurate, organized, and up-to-date. Support attorneys with procedural law compliance by reviewing documents for accuracy and adherence to court rules. Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining strict confidentiality protocols. Perform document review and analysis for civil litigation support, personal injury cases, and other litigation matters. Aid in client communication by preparing summaries, transcriptions, and proofreading legal materials to ensure clarity and professionalism. Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, scheduling interviews, and managing legal administrative support functions such as phone etiquette and organizational duties. Experience Paralegal experience or prior law office experience demonstrating familiarity with legal procedures and case management systems. Proven research skills using platforms to gather relevant case law and statutory information. Experience supporting multiple practice areas such as, personal injury law, family law, criminal law is highly desirable. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word processing, Excel, Outlook) along with familiarity with document review tools. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Effective communication skills for client interaction and collaboration within the legal team. Knowledge of procedural laws and experience in legal writing, proofreading, transcription, and document management systems.
