Associate Attorney - Family Law

Associate Attorney - Family Law Parsons Law, PA, a family law and civil litigation focused law firm in Asheville, NC, is looking to add to our staff. Family law and trial experience preferred. Pay will be based on experience. Ideal candidates want to succeed in their cases/the courtroom, and are committed to continuously learning how to improve. Representing clients zealously, we also encourage work/life balance.

Candidates must:

1. Be able to independently draft legal documents including complaints, motions, equitable distribution affidavits, financial affidavits, discovery and orders. 2. Have the ability to competently and confidently represent clients in court, in mediation, and in depositions. 3. Manage client case load from beginning of a family law matter to the end. 4. Be able to encourage a positive work environment in the most stressful times, and interact appropriately with staff and clients at all times. 5. New attorneys will be mentored but are expected to take aggressive initiative prior to review. Cover letters may be addressed to Marion K. Parsons. Writing samples required with application.
