Job :
It's an exciting time to join Four Corners Legacy Law! We are growing so much that it's time to add a law clerk to our team. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, detail-oriented and outgoing person who will be supported by everyone here at Four Corners Legacy Law. We hire for attitude and character first, and skills second. If you're looking for a place to simply punch the clock, we probably aren't the right fit. But if you want to do meaningful work with people who care deeply about one another and our clients, we'd love to meet you. Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to) :
Proofreading and Reviewing Estate Planning Documents:
Ensure accuracy and notify the legal team of any corrections or issues.
Document Organization:
Organize legal documents in client binders, following specific systems and procedures with attention to detail.
Document Preparation:
Print, tab, and prepare legal documents for client binders.
Scanning & Digital Filing:
Digitize hard-copy documents, name and categorize them following firm protocols.
Cloud File Management:
Maintain and organize digital documents in the cloud, following our systemized processes.
Notarization & Witnessing:
Notarize and/or witness legal documents during signings (Notary preferred).
Form & Template Management:
Work with fillable forms and templates to prepare documents for client use.
File Audits:
Ensure documents are complete with correct signatures and notaries and address any discrepancies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe (specifically handling PDFs). Excellent computer and technology skills with the ability to manage digital files and cloud-based systems are mandatory. Strong client service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor. Notary (or willingness to become a notary). High level of integrity and respect for client confidentiality. Typing, word processing, and data entry skills with the ability to read and understand various legal documents. Verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members. Knowledge of Wealth Counsel is a plus.
