Our client is seeking a full-time Family Law Associate to join their Garden City, NY office. The ideal candidate will have experience managing matrimonial and family law matters, including alimony, child custody, high-net-worth divorces, and property distribution.
Role Overview:
The Associate will handle legal cases, draft and review documents, conduct legal research, represent clients in court, consult with clients, prepare for trials, negotiate settlements, and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards. Strong communication with clients, colleagues, and external parties is essential.
Qualifications:
  • At least three years of experience in family law
  • Strong legal writing, drafting, and document review skills
  • Experience in legal research, case preparation, and strategy development
  • Proficiency in negotiation, litigation, and client representation
  • Knowledge of family law, and related areas such as real estate, estate planning, and business law preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active New York State Bar admission in good standing
