Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Family Law Associate Attorney to join our growing legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to advocate for clients navigating complex and often sensitive matters, including divorce, time-sharing, adoption, and support-related issues. In this role, you will provide strategic legal counsel, develop case strategies, and represent clients with both confidence and compassion. We are looking for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional client service while making a meaningful impact in family law. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive legal advice and counsel in family law matters, including divorce, time-sharing, and post-judgment proceedings Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and parenting plans Conduct thorough legal research (LexisNexis or similar platforms) to support case strategy Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations with professionalism and strong advocacy Manage case files efficiently, ensuring compliance with all deadlines and procedural requirements Collaborate with attorneys and staff on complex matters, including cases involving domestic violence Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Florida family law statutes, case law, and procedural rules Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active member of The Florida Bar or ability to obtain admission within a reasonable timeframe Minimum of 1+ year experience handling family law cases (preferred) Strong understanding of divorce, time-sharing, alimony, and related issues Excellent legal writing and drafting skills Strong negotiation and litigation skills Familiarity with case management systems and legal document organization Ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines Compensation, Benefits & Flexibility Base salary commensurate with experience , structured around a minimum average of 14 billable hours per week Quarterly bonus opportunity equal to one-third (1/3) of collected revenue for billables exceeding minimum expectations Flexible, results-driven time off — no fixed PTO cap, provided billing expectations and case responsibilities are met 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance (employee coverage) Dependent coverage available at employee's expense $25,000 employer-paid life insurance policy 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching Florida Bar dues, Family Law Section dues, CLEs, and professional development fully covered Hybrid work schedule based on court and client needs Dedicated paralegal support to assist with case management, client communication, and document preparation A genuinely supportive work environment designed to promote long-term sustainability, with realistic billing expectations and flexibility to manage personal and professional responsibilities Relocation & Bar Support We welcome candidates nationwide.
For qualified out-of-state applicants:
The firm will reimburse reasonable expenses related to obtaining admission to The Florida Bar (including application and exam fees) The firm will provide up to $3,000 in relocation assistance upon successful admission to The Florida Bar and commencement of employment Relocation and reimbursement benefits are subject to firm policy.
