00 per hour Adams & Martin Group is working with a boutique California law firm to identify a Family Law Intake Specialist to support its growing legal team. This direct hire opportunity offers a fully remote schedule and is ideal for a legal professional with intake experience who is highly organized, personable, and confident managing sensitive conversations with prospective clients. The ideal candidate will be comfortable assessing potential matters, handling high-volume communications, and providing an exceptional client experience while working with family law and employment law matters.
MUST BE FLUENT IN ENGLISH AND MANDARIN AND HAVE LEGAL INTAKE EXPERIENCE
Responsibilities Client Intake & Consultation Coordination
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients seeking legal representation
- Conduct initial intake calls for family law and employment law matters
- Gather detailed factual information and identify key legal issues
- Assess urgency, professionalism, and overall fit based on firm guidelines
- Provide clear and professional information regarding consultation processes and fee structures
- Schedule attorney consultations and coordinate calendars efficiently
- Follow up with prospective clients as appropriate to ensure a positive client experience Case Screening & Client Communication
- Handle sensitive and potentially high-conflict conversations with professionalism and emotional intelligence
- Build rapport with prospective clients while maintaining strong professional boundaries
- Communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including high-net-worth clients
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all client interactions
- Protect attorney time by ensuring only qualified consultations are scheduled Documentation & Administrative Support
- Document thorough and accurate intake notes within the case management system
- Maintain organized records and client information with a high degree of accuracy
- Update and manage information within CRM and case management platforms
- Support attorneys and legal staff through efficient information gathering and administrative coordination
- Ensure all intake records and communications are properly tracked and maintained Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of legal intake experience required
- Recent legal experience required, preferably in a Legal Intake Specialist, Legal Assistant, Legal Administrative, Paralegal, or Legal Support role
- Family law experience strongly preferred; employment law experience will also be considered
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to remain calm during emotionally charged or high-conflict conversations
- Professional, polished demeanor with the ability to interact confidently with high-net-worth clientele
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to discuss legal fees clearly, professionally, and confidently
- Experience working with CRM or case management systems
- Mandarin proficiency
- Familiarity with MyCase, RingCentral, or similar legal technology platforms is preferred
