Job Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is an emerging employment litigator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their caseload, and is eager to develop their litigation skills alongside experienced practitioners. This is a hybrid position offering flexibility while maintaining strong team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage an active docket of employment litigation matters from inception through resolution Conduct and defend depositions, including witness preparation and examination Appear in court, administrative hearings, and mediation proceedings Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and case strategy summaries Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to advance client matters Communicate directly with clients to provide case updates and gather information Monitor deadlines and ensure timely compliance with court and agency schedules Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active admission to the California State Bar in good standing 1-2 years of experience in employment litigation (plaintiff, defense, or government) Demonstrated experience with court appearances and/or depositions Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative and professional approach Proficiency with legal research platforms (Westlaw, Lexis) and case management software
