S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio is accepting applications for the position of Term Law Clerk to Magistrate Judge Darrell A. Clay located in Toledo, Ohio. The ideal start date for this appointment is in or around January 2027. Although Judge Clay and his staff regularly telecommute, this is envisioned primarily as an in-person position, thus the candidate should reside near (or be willing to relocate to) Northwestern Ohio. Candidates having prior experience as a federal court law clerk or staff attorney and/or substantial experience in Social Security disability law may be considered for a hybrid or fully remote work status. This appointment is anticipated for a two-year term with potential for extension (but in no case exceeding 4 years) at the discretion of the successful applicant and Judge Clay.
