The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in various legal tasks, providing essential support in research, drafting, and document review. This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the legal field while contributing to meaningful work. Duties Review documents related to the non-judicial foreclosure process in Texas and present findings to assigned attorney. Review client documents to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance and present findings to assigned attorney. Assist with examining post-foreclosure title reports to identify parties entitled to receive surplus funds. Assist with drafting letters notifying parties of surplus funds and requesting submission of claims. Review claims to surplus funds and present findings to attorneys. Assist with preparation of draft agreements regarding distribution of surplus funds for attorney review. Maintain clear, effective, and professional communication with clients, staff, attorneys, borrowers, and outside attorneys. Should the law clerk excel in this role and later obtain a license to practice law in Texas, an associate attorney position would be available. Qualifications Must be a law school graduate seeking to become licensed to practice law in Texas. Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbally. Experience with Texas real property title preferred. Experience with Texas Probate matters preferred.
