Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all operations of the police department
  • Develop and implement department policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Direct and coordinate law enforcement activities, including patrol, investigations, and community outreach programs
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with community members, organizations, and other law enforcement agencies
  • Prepare and present reports on department activities, crime statistics, and budgetary needs
  • Enforce city ordinances
  • Conduct criminal investigations as necessary
  • Provide leadership and guidance to department personnel
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of officers and the community
  • Manage department resources effectively
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Certification as a law enforcement officer
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and public speaking engagements
  • Knowledge of CPR and first aid procedures
  • Experience in criminal investigation techniques
  • Ability to handle conflict situations with tact and diplomacy
