Jail Administrator, Cloud County Sheriff's Department Jail Administrator, Cloud County Sheriff's Department 03/26/2026 8:06 AM The Cloud County Sheriff's Department is looking to fill the position of Jail Administrator. This position provides leadership to jail programs to ensure safety and security inside the county jail. This employee should possess excellent organizational, communication, and public relation skills. Starting pay for the Jail Administrator is $22.54/hr. Cloud County Sheriff's Department provides very competitive insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield. Vacation days are accrued from the start of employment and are available for use at the 6-month mark of employment.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for the administration of custodial, treatment, education, personnel and business programs necessary for the operation of a jail facility. This position will assign and direct subordinates, ensuring that all policy, rules, regulations, orders, procedures and directives are enforced and implemented. The Jail Administrator will communicate regularly with federal, state, county and local officials. This position requires a thorough knowledge of law enforcement and jail standards and procedures.

Minimum qualifications must include:
