Job Description
Reports To City Manager and/or Mayor & Commission FLSA Status Exempt Position Summary Serves as executive leader of the Police Department responsible for law enforcement operations, public safety initiatives, staffing, community policing, and organizational leadership. Essential Duties Direct all police operations and public safety functions. Develop strategic priorities and measurable goals. Oversee staffing, recruitment, and succession planning. Coordinate emergency preparedness and incident response. Develop community outreach initiatives. Administer departmental budget and grants. Maintain policy and compliance standards. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred. Ten years of law enforcement experience. Five years of command experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Community policing philosophy. Strong ethical leadership. Budget and personnel management skills. Physical Requirements Ability to attend meetings, travel, respond to emergencies, and perform administrative and field duties.
