Job Description
Job Overview Duties include, but are not limited to, processing License to Carry, service of court documents, prisoner transport, courtroom and courthouse security, assisting other agencies, and other various tasks as directed. Act 2 or equal training required, but not necessary upon hire. Training can be completed within one year of hire date and trainee will be paid during training to include mileage for travel. Act 120 certified applicants attend a 1 week course in State College. Applicants with no certification must attend a 19 week course in State College. More details about training are available upon request. Must have valid drivers license and pass a background check. Job does have potential for overtime and additional pay for "on call" hours. Uniforms and basic equipment are provided.
