Job Description
The Lamoille County Sheriff's Department is accepting applications for a Patrol Deputy. We are seeking highly motivated applicants, willing to serve the communities we work with, willing to learn, perform traffic enforcement and provide quality police services to our communities. Applicants need to be able to work in potentially stressful situations with diverse populations. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid operator's license, be 21 years of age, pass entrance tests required for the VCJTC, pass a polygraph exam, and an extensive background investigation. Currently certified officers encouraged to apply. The Lamoille County Sheriff's Department offers an excellent benefit package to include health and dental coverage and participates in the state retirement system. All Deputies work out of a newly renovated building that also houses a new Dispatch Center located in Hyde Park, Vermont. The department currently provides law enforcement services to Johnson, Hyde Park, and Wolcott on a full time basis. Lamoille County Sheriff's Department is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
