$105,622/Annually - Salary is Negotiable (Employees will receive 5% below the negotiated pay rate during their probationary status.)Responsible To :
Oneida Public Safety and Security Commission Summary :
Provide direction and leadership to Police Department and Game Wardens. Create a work environment that encourages ethical conduct, respectful interpersonal relations, open communication, innovative thinking, and creative problem solving with respect and sensitivity to the Oneida culture. Ensure safety, security and the preservation of life and property by maintaining law and order and enforcing laws and ordinances. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.Minimum Qualifications :
Applicants please clearly state how you meet these qualifications on the application/resume. Must be an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation. A Bachelor's Degree in Police Science, Criminal Justice or closely related field. Twelve (12) years of Law Enforcement experience from a state, tribal, local or federal government. Ten (10) years of increasingly responsible leadership and command-level experience, including significant field supervisor experience in a law enforcement agency. Experience must include administrative, financial, budgeting, operation, and employee relation skills. 5 Must possess the Police Recruit Certificate. Must possess a current State of Wisconsin certification as a Tribal Law Enforcement Officer or Law Enforcement Officer, if out of state six months to obtain. Must reside within a twenty (20) mile radius of the Oneida Reservation within three months of employment. Must successfully pass prior to employment: a. Physical agility test - exempted for internal OPD candidates b. Physical examination - exempted for internal OPD candidates c. Psychological examinationITEMS TO BE SUBMITTED
