Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Successful completion of an approved law enforcement academy Sworn law enforcement officer in good standing with a law enforcement agency Ability to prepare, complete, and submit law enforcement reports within the applicable jurisdiction
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
Active, unrestricted Class D U.S. Driver's License Valid law enforcement credentials authorizing sworn police authority
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in healthcare security, hospital policing, or public safety within a medical environment Knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient privacy requirements, and sensitive workplace environments Experience with crisis intervention, behavioral health response, or de‑escalation techniques Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, and security technologies
Responsibilities:
Strives to promote a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, and organizational assets by providing the presence of an armed and uniformed sworn law enforcement officer. This includes enforcement of applicable laws and hospital policies, as well as the preparation and completion of required incident and investigative reports in compliance with applicable jurisdictional requirements.
