The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor and/or flight chief, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Security Forces Flight.

ARIZONA AIR NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.

Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Air Nional Guard, in a military position assigned to 161st ARW. This is an excepted service position th requires membership in a compible military assignment in the employing ste's Nional Guar, required prior to the effective de of placement. Selectee required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the Nional Guard must be eligible for immedie membership and employment in the Nional Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigion. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. Incumbent must possess and maintain a current ste driver's license. The work requires a valid driver's license and the incumbent must be able to opere all Security Forces Vehicles and installed equipment. Incumbent must be qualified in the use of required weapons, as the incumbent required to use firearms in performing duties. May be required to work other than normal duty hours. Overtime may be required. May be required to wear special protective clothing such as cos, boots, vests, respiror masks, and/or helmets. Must obtain and maintain first responder training/certificions required in CPR techniques, self-aid buddy care, and first aid on the job and maintain annually. The maximum entry age for DoD Law Enforcement is 37. An individual not appointed by the last day of the month in which the individual becomes age 37 will not be originally appointed or assigned to these positions. EXPERIENCE

Must possess 1 year equivalent to least next lower grade level experience th provided knowledge of a body of basic laws and regulions, law enforcement operions, practices, and techniques and involved responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property. Creditable specialized experience may have been gained in work on a police force; through service as a military police officer; in work providing or protection and law enforcement in parks, forests, or other nural resource or recreional environments; in performing criminal investigive duties; or in other work th provided the required knowledge and skills. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
