Job Description
- This is a temporary, unpaid, non-benefitted position
- The El Cajon Police Department runs an active Reserve Officer Program. Depending on the level of training and certification, an El Cajon Reserve Officer may work as an additional officer in a patrol car or provide support as a single person car. - Providing patrol of the streets and highways by car, bicycle and on foot
- Maintaining order and preventing crimes or juvenile delinquency
- Directing traffic
- Investigating complaints
- Guarding and transporting prisoners
- Writing reports
- Issuing traffic and parking tickets You may be eligible to become a Reserve Officer if you: Must be 21 years of age.
