SALARY RANGE
Starting Salary:
$57,108.27 / $26.11/hr.
PATROL OFFICER
Performs general duty police work in the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances. Routine patrol work in an assigned area, preliminary investigation and miscellaneous duties incidental thereto performed in accordance with departmental rules and regulations. Exercise initiative and discretion when faced with emergency conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Florida Law Enforcement Certified required. (May also consider out-of-state law enforcement certified and requiring an Equivalency Certificate from the State of Florida, Corrections Certified and requiring a Crossover Corrections to Law Enforcement Certification.) Applicant must be able to meet the requirements for certification as outlined in Florida State Statutes 943.13, which may be viewed at http://www.flsenate.gov/statutes . Ability to maintain and submit accurate reports. Must have the ability to work with others and be of a temperament, which enables them to handle emergency situations without excitement or panic. Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times. Applicant must be able to work all shifts.

The compensation package will start at the base salary range and may vary based on proven abilities of the individual selected.
